Winning Affirmations

Positive affirmations that work, to help you win in every aspect of your life.

Winning Affirmations

Welcome to Winning Affirmations! If you’re new to the world of manifestation and affirmations, get excited, affirmations are a powerful tool that can help you to achieve anything you want in life.

If you’re looking for affirmations that work, you’re in the right place. Our positive affirmations have had proven success in changing people’s lives – just ask our teenage son who used these affirmations to change his mindset about working out and is now a, self proclaimed, ‘Physical Specimen’ playing at high levels in both basketball and football.

My wife and I have also used these affirmations to create the perfect life for us. We often joke that we are ‘living the dream’ and it’s true – we’re financially secure, work for ourselves (only when we want to), and have a loving marriage and family life. Using the right affirmations can be incredibly powerful in helping you to achieve your goals in any part of your life.

Win in your chosen sports, win your dream job or just win in life – with Winning Affirmations you can win in any aspect of your life, all you have to do is start!

What Are Affirmations?

Affirmations are pretty simple to understand. They are basically positive statements or phrases used repeatedly to remind yourself of all the good things you have going for you. They can also be used to ‘manifest’ or create a version of yourself that you don’t quite see yet.

How Do Affirmations Work?

Your brain is an amazing part of your body, it changes and adapts to every different situation you find yourself in. Obviously our brains are incredibly clever, but they can’t always tell the difference between a true or false statement (or reality and imagination, if you prefer).

Affirmations work because when you repeat and visualize what you would like your brain to achieve, it activates the same parts of your brain as if you are really experiencing them.

Do this consistently and often enough and your clever brain will start to accept these statements as facts (and not just suggestions) and will eventually sync them with your reality. So what you consistently repeat and tell yourself (your brain) constantly will, in fact, become your reality.

For affirmations to truly work and make big changes in your life, you have to truly believe that they are true. This can be difficult in the beginning. It might be hard to say, and believe, an affirmation like ‘I have amazing stamina’ if you find it hard to run more than half a mile.

But, don’t worry, affirmations can work within the principle of “fake it ‘til you make it.” You just need to begin and start convincing your brain of all the positive outcomes you plan to achieve.

You, and your brain, will eventually start to believe it, and that’s when the real magic happens! You’ll be brimming with confidence and positivity so that nothing can stop you from turning your dreams into reality. All you have to do is start!

Do Affirmations Really Work?

Yes! Affirmations really work – and there’s even science to prove it! While affirmations are sometimes seen as mystical or magical (and they can seem magical once they start working for you), they are basically a component of the psychological theory known as Self Affirmation Theory.

After this self-affirmation theory was posed, more neuroscientific research has been conducted to see if there are changes in the brain when people self-affirm in positive ways.

When people practice self-affirmation tasks, the research concluded that there was, in fact, MRI evidence suggesting that certain neural pathways were increased (Cascio et al., 2016). So yes, people can actually change the ways that their brains work simply by using affirmations – pretty cool, right?!

How To Use Affirmations

Choose a goal or an area of your life you would like to improve, then find the appropriate affirmations from our extensive affirmation guides.

It’s important to choose only affirmations that really resonate with you – remember you need to truly believe them to make them work so you need to begin with smaller achievements and build up to more difficult ones, much the same as you would start trying to run 1 mile before you would attempt a 10 mile run.

Choose affirmations that you can really believe in and start the work to set them in stone in your brain before moving on to goals and achievements that might seem a bit more ‘out there’.

Begin by creating a routine in which you practice at least twice a day. Morning and evening sessions work well for this – you can even do it straight after brushing your teeth so that you remember to do it twice everyday. Or, you can use your commute time to practice when traveling to and from work each day.

  • Each ‘session time’ you’ll want to recite your chosen affirmations 10-15 times each.
  • Each session should only last about 3-5 minutes.
  • You can speak your affirmations out loud – in front of a mirror works well for this. Or, you can just repeat them over and over in your mind.
  • The important thing is to remember to do it every day – preferably twice a day, and do not skip any sessions.
  • If you’re a visual person who responds well to visual stimuli, consider printing out our printable affirmations or writing them out yourself in clear, bold letters. Then stick these visual affirmations somewhere obvious – the bathroom mirror works well for this – so you’ll remember to practice them each day.

While they might seem magical, affirmations do require you to put in the work – but it’s easy work to do, you just need to be consistent and truly work at believing each affirmation as you say it. Before too long your brain will start to take these statements as fact and adjust your behaviors accordingly to make them come true.

When Should You Use Affirmations?

You can use affirmations at whatever time fits in with your schedule. Some people like to do morning affirmations to prepare them for the day ahead. Some prefer evening or night time affirmations (especially if they are affirming about the good night’s sleep they’re about to get).

You can use affirmations in every aspect of your life. You’ve probably stumbled across us because you’re looking to make a change in a certain area of your life. Maybe you want to get stronger and fitter? Maybe your goal is to be wealthy? Maybe you’re stressed about work? Or maybe you’re looking for your soulmate?

Once you’ve mastered the technique, you can use affirmations in every aspect of your life to create the life that you want. But, the key is consistency. You have to keep working at it and repeating your affirmations to make the changes in your brain that will allow you to achieve your goals.

So, my best advice to you is to begin with the one major goal you need/want to focus on for now and start working with the affirmations that resonate best with you to achieve that goal. Once it starts to become second nature, you can start to work towards new goals and achievements.

But, the biggest thing to remember about when to use affirmations is to repeat them regularly and often. And the best time to start? Right now!

To get started, decide what it is you’re looking to change or improve about yourself or your life, then search through our affirmations to find a few that really resonate with you.

Print them out, write them out or just remember them and then practice saying them, out loud or in your head, 10-15 times, twice a day. Remember, consistency is key, to make the required changes in your brain you need to consistently work at it. But you’ll be amazed by the results you can achieve!
